James has over 14 years work experience with a majority of it spent in the advisory industry. James has a keen interest in enabling organisations he partners with to develop future-fit enterprises from a business, customer and branding viewpoint. James also believes in practicing what he preaches and leverages what he has learned from an advisory standpoint to co-found a book publishing, men’s clothing and property rental businesses.
At Birguid, James leverages his vast experience and expertise to build and progress mutually beneficial and long-term client relationships. Based on the value created thus far, James ambition is to progress Birguid to be a standout African advisory company that delivers winning and actionable strategies that grow and progress emerging market businesses to compete successfully within the global arena.
Prior to founding Birguid, James worked in industry for the Forestry Commission, Forestry Company of Zimbabwe, Industrial Engineering Group and Sahara. James has also worked as a strategist for leading global professional services companies, namely, Frost & Sullivan, Ipsos and Ernst & Young.
James holds an Honours degree (cum Laude), a Master’s degree in Programme Evaluation and an MBA.
